Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams born August 20, 1974 Aviano Italy American actress. Famous for her critically acclaimed portrayals of charming, innocent people. Adams was the youngest of seven children who lived as a young child in Colorado's Castle Rock. She was born while her father worked for the U.S. Military in Italy. Then, in the latter part of 1990s, she began to act and dance professionally with Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. After that, she joined the regional theater located in Minnesota in which she was featured in a documentary mock-up on beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). After making her screen debut as a charming but snarky contestant, she relocated towards Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. She also raised Kelly Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis. Her film career started in mid- 1940s, after she was hired by MGM. The actress was found by Norma Shearer. In the decade that followed her appearances in many popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
